"Man doesn't want to throw blessed things into the trash. We will probably have no other choice than to find a hole somewhere, bury the rosaries and let them decay."
Friedrich Bürgler, Sexton of Illgau

Sometimes fine and small, sometimes quite large on the wall. Made of wood and metal, plastic or beans and known throughout the world - the rosary. Once a popular handmade devotional item, in recent years the demand for them has fallen sharply. Filmmaker Simon Weber depicts not only the artisanal process around rosary making and repair, but sets this in the context of the present. The film follows eight people from the canton of Schwyz who are connected with the rosary.
